Tillac Gites have been wonderfully created from a XVI century Charentaise barn, finished to a luxurious standard retaining much of its old rustic charm and character. There are plenty of original beams and exposed stonework, and the rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished.
The gites are 'Souris' sleeping 6, and 'Fauvette' sleeping up to 8. There is an inter-connecting door, making it ideal for large family get-togethers.
Each gite boasts 3 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms with toilets, separate utility rooms, French style bespoke fully equipped kitchens, stunning open plan dining-sitting rooms with doors opening on to private terraces equipped with garden furniture, BBQ's and awesome countryside views to enjoy that al-fresco dining.
The large 1.5 acre garden contains the heated 11x7m illuminated pool, boules court, quality outdoor table tennis table with space enough for a variety of ball games and croquet. For the less energetic and for those preferring to relax and let the world go by, there are hammocks and ample sun loungers around the pool, all surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vines as far as the eye can see.
Mouthiers-sur-Boeme, set by the River Boëme, is our pretty local village, only 3 km away. It has a beautiful XII century church and shops consisting of bar and restaurant, 2 boulangeries, charcuterie, hairdressers, post office, bank, doctor, dentist, pharmacy and mini-supermarket to cater for all your immediate needs.
